and Co-Founder Joy Smith’s own personal journey with CBD.

Formulating clean, delicious nutrition products is my life’s work. Literally! As a cancer survivor and medical doctor, I have firsthand experience with the critical importance of organic, wholesome nutrition and the vital role it plays in supporting the body in times of stress.
Following my cancer diagnosis at a young age, I was in desperate pursuit of a nutritious drink made with high quality, organic ingredients…and quickly realized that such a drink did not exist. I made it my mission to formulate a drink that would actually make a difference in my health. It had to be certified organic, lower in sugar, high in organic protein, and also be free of artificial sweeteners, preservatives and colorings. After exhaustive work and research, and a lot of time in my kitchen, I finally developed the perfect formulation that would later become Orgain®—a product that not only helped me in my health journey, but would ultimately help others, too.
Today, I’ve expanded the Orgain line to include plant-based protein powders, grass-fed whey protein options, nutritional shakes for kids and vegans, and even plant-based protein bars.
